I have been wearing red nail polish for decades. I don’t recall too many occasions when I have not polished my toes with some flavor of ruby red, crimson cherry, or blazing berry. Red is the color that stands out and pops against any skin tone.
So what’s a girl to do when she can’t make it to the manicurist, yet she still wants to achieve a close-to-professional manicure look? She selects a color that can easily camouflage her fake it until you make it nail maintenance.
Taupe and other neutral colors are a great stand-in. These hues do a great job masking any polish mistakes, and of course, they coordinate with anything.
