Gardening may be your solution to stealing some time to relax and de-stress.

Garden therapy is a type of therapy that uses gardens as a setting for healing. Garden therapy can help people with physical, mental, or emotional health problems. The first garden therapy program was developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1940s. Garden therapy programs are now common in many countries. The therapy is usually provided by trained professionals such as occupational therapists, horticulturalists, and nurses. Garden therapy programs often include activities such as planting, weeding, and watering plants.

Imagine yourself simply spending time in a garden, looking at flowers, or listening to the sound of water flowing in a fountain.

During the lockdown, I remember how much joy it brought me to just go outside and walk around the yard even it if was for a short period of time. It was soothing to my soul.
