Have you ever peered into your makeup collection and felt overwhelmed? Well, you are not alone! Makeup clutter is real and can overwhelm you during your make-up application.
Decluttering your makeup can help you streamline your routine and make finding the products you love easier.
I’m starting this season on a mission to let go. I set out to declutter my home, closet, and now, my makeup collection. It’s the perfect time to assess and re-assess what you really need.

You do not have to toss everything, but here are some quick tips to help you narrow down what you truly need:
- Start by sorting through your makeup items and removing anything expired, broken, or no longer suits your style.
- Organize your remaining makeup by category, such as lip products, eye shadows, and face products, to help you see what you have and avoid buying duplicates. By decluttering your makeup, you can save money and create a more functional beauty routine.
- Keep your favorites handy: Most people purchase products that they already have. Organizing your products helps you avoid duplicating them.
Think about how often each product is used. Remember, less is more when organizing your makeup—a few quality items can go a long way!
Decluttering your makeup is a fantastic way to elevate your organization game and make the most of your beauty routine. Your organized makeup collection is your ticket to a stress-free beauty routine!
LET IT GO!
Bid farewell to outdated cosmetics, discard those old shades you will never wear, and streamline your vanity. It doesn’t matter how much you paid for a product; if it no longer serves you … get rid of it.
Here’s one of my best tips: Separate the make-up you wear most often so you don’t have to shuffle through everything.
- Avoid Being a Product Junkie. Ensure you already have what you need before purchasing what you want.
- Sanitize Regularly: Keep your makeup products and tools clean by regularly sanitizing them. Use alcohol wipes or sprays to clean the surfaces of powders, eyeshadows, and other products. Wash your makeup brushes and sponges with a gentle cleanser to remove built-up bacteria and product residue.
- Invest in Multi-Functional Products: To minimize clutter, consider investing in multi-functional makeup products. Items like a versatile palette with eyeshadows, blush, and highlighters can replace multiple single-use products. This streamlines your makeup routine and reduces the number of items you need to keep track of and potentially purge later.
