Reset: Start Your Day By Doing Something for Yourself

I’m hooked! I got used to a lifestyle that includes me owning my morning time. I advise you to do the same by starting your day by doing something for yourself.  Whether you spend a few minutes praying, meditating, reading a few words from a chapter in your favorite book, journaling, an early morning soak in the tub, or just plain taking deep breathes and being in deep thought; you deserve some time by yourself, and to be with yourself.

The world is evolving so quickly and, at times, it can be overwhelming when you feel rushed and that feeling brings on anxiety that has you dreading the possibility of the same thing repeating itself the next day.

Meditation

Take your life back by reclaiming your time! You never know what’s going to come your way to alter your path. Take some time to asses just where you’re at in your life – from where you’ve been to where you want to go and what exactly it is that you’ll need to get there.

So what does self-care have to do with style and posted in a style blog? Everything!  You’ve heard the statement, “When you look good you feel good”. Well, what better way to look good then to start from the inside out. Small changes can go a very long way.  Pick your favorite feel-good activity and make it your own.

 

Remember that consistency can be contagious, so start one day at a time, one step at a time. Before you know it, you will be hooked on a lifestyle of mental wellness, physical strength, healthy eating and inner peace.
